Regretter, c’est admettre en son cœur que ses souhaits ne peuvent pas toujours se réaliser, et reconnaître son incapacité à modifier le passé. Pour se délivrer de ce dernier, s’incliner devant cette réalité est primordial. Se pencher ainsi sur ce qui n’est pas possible incite en effet à progresser pour mieux distinguer ce qui est possible. Ce point clarifié, on pourra plus aisément accueillir la compassion nécessaire à la bonne cicatrisation de ses blessures et, à terme, trouver l’inspiration qui permettra de donner à nouveau son cœur. En somme, la résignation émotionnelle qui accompagne les regrets apporte la paix. Peu à peu, au fil de ce processus, on abandonnera ses espoirs passés au profit de nouveaux…
